Pickering is a busy market town in the heart of Ryedale nestling in the Vale of Pickering and gateway to the North York Moors. Set in a conservation area the refurbished Memorial Hall is located within the town centre with car parks near by. The hall is a short walk from The Beck Isle Museum and the North York Moors Railway Station. Pickering Castle and the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul are notable visitor attractions. There is excellent accommodation and eating establishments within the town and Market Day is held on Monday in the main street.
